We enjoyed our stay with the grand kids and their parents. We stayed upstairs and had a lot of privacy. We all enjoyed the heated pool and the beach. We are from Honolulu and would stay there again for a mini vacation. There were lots of towels and supplies. Kids enjoyed the beach toys. Had a great dessert at Lei Leis which is a few minutes walk from the condo.
We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed: laundry detergent, beach towels, etc. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The upstairs shower didn’t get hot enough, so we used the downstairs shower. I’m sure this could have been fixed if we had requested, but it wasn’t really an issue for us.
Stayed here for a night. The place is really nice but not the place for a bunch of college students. Celebrated my girlfriends 21st here, wasn’t the greatest idea; too noisy for the area. Something I should have double checked before booking but meh, we still had fun. Other than that though, the place is nice and really laid back.
The condo at Turtle Bay was a wonderful spot to relax in, most of our kids were teenagers and to my surprise they didn’t complain at all. They loved the fact that we stayed out in a quiet friendly area, they didn’t mind driving into town everyday which wasn’t really long, 40 minutes on avg to get almost anywhere going either directions from the condo. We spent our first week in Waikiki..which was nice but ridiculous for the cost for parking everyday at our resort and just way too many touristers, its definitely cheaper to vacation in Vegas than Waikiki. The condo’s location was perfect to Kualoa Ranch, Macadamian nut and tropical farms, the shrimp trucks, waimea and north shore beaches, dole pineapple plantation, the Polynesian cultural center and our new favorite ice cream shop Angels in the local food land plaza. Not much dining in the area, there are a few local food places and a mcdonalds next to PCC. It’s definitely worth staying out there for the beautiful drives in and out of town, the beaches are breathless and the people are friendly. The condo for the off peak season price was well worth the stay, we loved every moment of it and will definitely go back. Other than that the condo does get a bit warm at times and the AC can be loud, but the washer and dryer comes in handy, and all the extras. We would recommend this condo to all our friends and family. Thank you Turtle Bay Vacation Rentals. It was a memorable vacation!
We were completely and fully satisfied with this wonderful rental. It is in such good condition and is so close to so many important attractions. It is really in the heart of most of them. We could not think of a better place to stay. It more than measured up to our expectations and completely filled our needs. We highly recommend it to everyone.
No check in or out is a definite plus! However, if you are planning on using the upstairs bedroom, beware that the winding, narrow staircase is difficult to maneuver with suitcases! We normally stay in condos when we vacation, and was pleasantly surprised to find dish soap, laundry detergent, beach chairs, beach toys, snorkel gear, tennis rackets and balls, and beach towels all in the condo. There was also an ample supply of toilet paper and paper towels, which we normally have to purchase ourselves. Totally enjoyed being on the North Shore close to all of the beautiful, and quiet beaches. Will definitely book here again!
If you are looking for amazing condo rentals on Turtle Bay, look no farther than Kuilima Estates! The units are beautiful and well stocked with just about every amenity you could ask for. The landscaping is beautiful and both the condos and the grounds are very well maintained, with a pool close by and everything. The location is somewhat remote as far as shopping goes, but for my family this just adds to the charm! Unit 76 is beautiful, with very comfortable beds, 2 floors, a very well stocked kitchen area, and even flat screen TV’s in each of the bedrooms. The room even came with beach gear for us to use during our stay. Hands down the most enjoyable hotel/rental experience I have ever had. Kuilima Estates is much better than North Shore Hotels for an overnight stay OR extended vacation!
This was our first trip to Hawaii. The condo was great! Nice pool that’s very close. Tennis courts were nice and rackets & balls were in the condo. 4 sets of scuba gear! The walk to the beach was not too bad. We loved the location – North Shore was relaxed with short drives to the shrimp trucks, Polynesian Cultural Center, Dole Plantation, great beaches (Waimea and Sunset), Ted’s Bakery (Chocolate Haupia pie was awesome!), and the town of Haleiwa. Favorite places to eat: Pizza Bob’s, Kahuku Grill, Luau at PCC, Surfin’ Tacos, and Ola at Turtle Bay Resort (excellent nachos).
The owners of the condo seem to have everything covered: bath and beach towels provided, plenty of toilet paper and paper towels, dish soap, and there was even laundry detergent.
Overall the condo was great! I hope we’ll be able to book this condo next time we come to Hawaii.
I’ve stayed at the majority of resorts on Oahu and this was by far my best experience. Being able to stay in a spacious condo with a kitch and pull up parking stall made my vacation extremely convenient and affordable. I would recommend turtlebayvacationrentals to anyone!
The condo was nice and well kept..the upstairs bedroom was a very hot and climbing up a metal winding stair case with luggage was not that great..Overall better than average..
The place was located in a beautiful setting and the unit was nice. Travelling with kids it was important to have access to cookware. When we arrived we were very disheartened with the condition of pots and pans – but management rectified immediately – very impressive. Would suggest replacing the washing machine as it is rusting and is a challenge to get clothes in and out without getting rust stains on clothing.
Overall – a great vacation and would definitely stay again. A dresser upstairs would be a nice addition.
Loved the proximity to shrimp trucks and the beach and in general it was wonderful being on the North Shore instead of busy Honolulu.
Our party of 4 stayed in the Kuilima Estates and definitely enjoyed it! Plenty of room, loved the ‘island’ instead of having a kitchen table and chairs, clean, and grounds were well kept.
There were a few issues, but doesn’t take away from my overall experience:
1.The very narrow winding stairs to get to the 2nd floor where the 2nd bedroom is located. Charming looking, but not very practical.
2. Yes it would have been nice to have had a lanai to sit, with a cup of coffee in the morning, and enjoy the scenery.
3. It’s not really “walkable” to the beach, especially if you’re carrying beach accessories.
After we drove to the beach, get all set to enjoy the sun, water, and relaxation, an employee on the beach approached us and told us we really were not allowed there if we were not guests of the Turtle Bay Resort. I then told them when I reserved, beach access was one of the amenities…Nope, but we were allowed to stay for the rest of the afternoon, and was graciously reading the amenities.
4. Turtle Bay is on the far North of the island, but very beautiful!
The closest store is probably a good 15 min away.
All in all, none of these issues would prevent me from recommending the Kuilima Estates at Turtle Bay. ENJOY!
Thank you for the review. Just for clarification, by law the Turtle Bay Resort beach is public access. The hotel does have some beach items just for hotel guests – perhaps that is where the confusion came from.
We had four adults and two small children and the size of the unit suited us well. We were disappointed that there were no wine glasses upon our arrival, but someone rectified it within the first 24 hours for us, purchased some at Walmart and brought them out to us. No other complaints and would recommend it to others.
Lovely location and lots of in-house amenities. We were a bit disappointed to find two things about the unit we weren’t quite ready for: 1) the A/C took about an hour to cool down the condo and stayed a bit warm (we’re from Arizona, so we ‘know’ hot)
2) only an upstairs/ downstairs option for the bedrooms – which left us playing ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ for the downstairs bedroom – one of us has a bad knee and wasn’t sure about doing the spiral stairs several times a day, and another one of us ‘runs hot’ and the upstairs/loft bedroom never did get quite cool enough to be really enjoyable.
The unit was very well equipped and we would recommend with a few caveats – bring a small electric fan and younger /less ‘worldly’ people for the upstairs bedroom and you’ll probably fare fabulously! Nice unit, 2 minute drive to the beach/water/ hotel and restaurants. Lots of water sports gear. Unit is probably better suited to younger adults or couple with pre-teens.
Lovely place to stay; great amenities. One huge negative and the reason for only giving it 3 stars is that there is NO outside lanai for tis unit. Would have loved to sit outside in the morning with coffee or the evening. Otherwise it was perfect for 2 couples.
Thank you for your feedback. We value all criticism and suggestions. Yes, I”m sorry, the owner decided to enlarge the livingroom for more room for sleeping/relaxing instead of a deck.
The condo was very nice and clean. we enjoyed having 2 separate rooms for us and kids. having the beach equipment was a nice touch. The only down side to this location (if you want to consider it a down side) is that it is on the far side of the island and a good 15-20 minute drive back to a grocery store. as you can see by my rating it wsn’t much of a downside for us, just wanted to make sure people know what to expect. All in all if we came back to Oahu we’d likely stay there again.
There were four in our party and because we had travelled all the way from England via Las Vegas we were unsure what to expect. On our arrival we were stunned by the beautiful surroundings and landscaped gardens covered with colourful tropical flowers and palm trees. The apartment was spacious and fabulously laid out with every amenity possible. We felt comfortable and relaxed, there was a large plasma TV in the lounge as well as in both the bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom was so modern and inviting and the main bedroom on the first floor had swaying palms outside the window. The kitchen/breakfast area was fantastic with every appliance possible. All in all we would stay there again without hesitation. All the beaches at Turtle Bay were fantastic as well as the main Hotel’s restaurants and beach bars. If you were looking for somewhere to stay on Oahu, stop looking and book here now! You will not be disappointed.
Kuilima Estates East 76 was a great experience for 6 of us ( 3 couples). It was easy check in n check out though at first it took a while to figure out how to unlock the lock:-). Kitchen was well equipped and liked the decor.
I would definitely recommend someone for this condo.
The place was very nice, beautiful, clean and roomy. We had 2 families (6 people) and it didn’t seem crowded. It had lots of beach toys, snorkle gear, etc. We enjoyed the HBO on demand. Easy check-in and check-out. There were 2 downside. There were no beach towels. At the time, there were paint cans in the upstair bathroom closet that gave off bad fumes. We had to sit them outside and then pack them back upstairs
We loved our stay in Unit 76. The Unit is very large and roomy. We had our
family staying at the Turtle Bay Resort so it was a short walk to visit. The unit had snorkel gear, boogie board, and play things which we took to the beach everyday. The beds were very confortable, and the grandkids spent a few nights up in the upstairs loft which they loved with the large bathroom and big flat screen TV. Since I also have a Guest House on VRBO I’m very particular where I stay. I’m happy we choose this unit to spend our Thanksgiving Holiday. Unit could use some large drinking glasses.
Thanks Max

“Enjoyed the stay.”
No check ins or outs. Great surroundings and unit was well provided with basic needs and activity equipment. Definitely a must to return and spend more days rather than an overnighter. Thought price for cleaning was a little expensive for an overnighter, but nevertheless was worth the stay to relax like being in your own home.
